Healing Process:

  • Day 1: "I love my brows!"

  • Day 2-4: "These are way too dark and thick". Your blows will actually get darker over these few days, but don't freak out! They will lighten again.

  • Day 5-8: During these days your brows may be flaking and scabbing off. Make sure to NOT pick or remove the scabs or you may inadvertently remove the pigment.

  • Day 9-10: "My brows have completely fallen off!!" Your brows will appear like they are completely gone during this time, but don't worry- they are still there, just in a deeper layer of your skin. This is all part of the healing process for permanent makeup.

  • Day 11-28: "My brows are coming back but they're patchy." Your brows will appear to be patchy and incomplete during this part of the healing process.

  • Day 45 (after touch up): "These are better than I could have imagined!" After the touch up we will fill any any gaps and make sure they are perfect! The healing process for microblading is a process and you just have to trust it!

Remember:

The majority of pigment gets "glued in" after the touch up. The touch up is required for the brows to last 15-24 months. Without a touch up, the pigment will fade in a few months.

One of the benefits of a touch up is to fill in any gaps that may get pulled out as a results if scabbing.

After care instructions:

  • Please follow these instructions for 14 days after the procedure to improve and prolong the results of your microblading. If you don't follow these instructions, it can greatly affect your results or put you at rick for infection or scarring or loss of pigmentation!

  • Avoid getting anything on the brows, including water, except as directed for cleansing.

  • Do not soak the treated area in a bath, pool, or hot tub for 30 days. Refrain from swimming in salt water or chlorinated pools, saunas, hot yoga, steam rooms, or sun beds.

  • No exercise for 1 week. After 1 week you must use a sweat band to prevent sweat from touching brows.

  • Do not expose treated area to direct sunlight for 30 days.

  • No makeup should be applied directly to brows during healing process.

  • We provide aftercare products. You should not apply anything else.

  • Do not touch, rub, or pick brows during healing process.

  • If brows itch-tap them. Do not scratch.

  • Botox, Chemical peels, facials should be done 30 days after the touch up.

What to expect overall:

Initially, your brows will appear more bold than usual. This is because we have enhanced the brows, deposited pigment into the skin and often times, made them appear fuller. Over the next few days after the procedure, your brows will darken as they heal. This is normal and this is not the way they will remain. Around 7-14 days you may notice some flaking/shedding of the skin. Think of this as very small "scabs" falling off the skin and that the skin underneath has healed. When the skin flakes off, many times there microblading strokes appear very light- this is normal! This is because there is a thick layer of protective skin creating a veil over the pigment. Once you go through a skin cycle (4-6 weeks) the pigment will reappear but will be about 30-50% lighter than it was immediately after the procedure.
